Yes, in my Phoenix personal injury law practice, I always offer free initial consultations. The free initial consultation has become commonplace in most law practices. However, historically, and in some areas of law lawyers have charged for consultations.

Since I represent clients with no money paid up front and on a contingency fee, I am happy to offer free consultations. Many clients prefer to come to the office to sit down face to face the old fashioned way. This is not always the case. Sometimes, with their busy schedules or out-of-state clients, these consultations are conducted over the telephone. I even make house calls -- I often travel to homes, hospital rooms and assisted living centers for clients that are unable to come to my office. I have even had free consultations online for hearing impaired clients.
